Manuel Neuer is a footballer who was born on March 27, 1986 in Gelsenkirchen, West Germany, and he plays in the goalkeeper position. He is a friend of Jens Lehmann, who was a goalkeeper before Neuer.
Neuer signed a professional contract in 2005 at the club located in his hometown. In the 2006-2007 season, Neuer starting Bundesliga debut as a substitute for injured goalkeeper Frank Røst. Neuer became the core goalkeeper replaces Røst when playing against Bayern Munich.
