Manuel Neuer is a footballer who was born on March 27, 1986 in Gelsenkirchen, West Germany, and he plays in the goalkeeper position. He is a friend of Jens Lehmann, who was a goalkeeper before Neuer.
Neuer signed a professional contract in 2005 at the club located in his hometown. In the 2006-2007 season, Neuer starting Bundesliga debut as a substitute for injured goalkeeper Frank Røst. Neuer became the core goalkeeper replaces Røst when playing against Bayern Munich. Although still young, but Neuer is widely expected to become potential and substitute goalkeeper Jens Lehmann in the future for the German national team.
